Scott Gellatly
Scott Gellatly holds a degree in painting and drawing from the University of Oregon and has exhibited his work in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United States.
A landscape painter at heart, Scott’s work has become more abstracted, with greater emphasis on pure color and gestural mark-making to evoke nature’s energy and vibrancy.
“I cultivate the power of color to elevate the experiential and emotional qualities of nature rather than the descriptive qualities of specific landscapes. I believe in color’s ability to convey emotion and energy, thus inviting viewers to engage with the work via their own identity and personal history."
Scott lives in Portland, OR. His work is currently represented by LAURA VINCENT DESIGN & GALLERY in Portland and Alki Arts in Seattle, WA.
